| Project : St. Pancras, London
Client : Union Railways
This design and build contract on phase
2 of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link is the larger of two temporary
infrastructure projects on the overall scheme.
The works will encompass the slewing of
the Midland Mainline at St Pancras from an eastern alignment
to a westerly alignment over newly constructed bridge spans,
construction of new private aggregate sidings and platform
modifications at St Pancras to accommodate new alignments.
Works, which take place on Railtrack infrastructure,
will run throughout 2002, finishing early 2003, leading directly
into CTRL104H, a massive contract that will finish the whole
Channel Tunnel Rail Link scheme.
Mowlem Railways have also embarked on a
community relation scheme as part of the works, bringing understanding
of the change in the local area to the greater community.
